Cycling and walking routes
Route of the creeks
From the campsite, you walk about 3 km along the marina and then enter the Mediterranean maquis. After 2 km you reach Cala Martina, a small rocky bay with a transparent sea. Continuing on for another 2 km, you arrive at Cala Violina, famous for its white “musical” sand which, when trodden on, emits a sound similar to that of a violin.
Maremma Park
Moving a little further south for those who love walking, the Maremma Park offers 9 itineraries along which to dive into its nature and history. To learn about Mediterranean ecosystems, the result of a long coexistence between man and nature in the wild, or simply to exercise in the open air in an environment of great beauty.
Padule di Scarlino
The Scarlino Marshes is an important nature reserve just a stone’s throw from our campsite where dozens of different species of birds stop and breed. It is a favourite destination for birdwatchers but also for those who want to immerse themselves in a landscape that is very reminiscent of what the Maremma was until a few decades ago.
